Marlene Tidwell
Marlene worked as a Corporate Tax Accountant for Hospital Corporation of America. She has been a part of multiple non-profits in serving the community.
For more than 20 years, she has led and coordinated prayer initiatives at the city, county, and state level and led teams in Washington D.C. She currently serves as the Director for the TN Governmental Prayer Alliance, a 501 c 3 that is represented in counties across the state, and leads a prayer team in the TN State Capitol each week. She serves as the Event Director for the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast and served as the 2013 Chair, and has also served on various boards of other ministries and churches. She is the Vice President for King’s Hill House of Prayer in Nashville, TN.
In 2015, she was honored to begin working with the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation to form and establish the TN Legislative Prayer Caucus in the TN General Assembly. She enjoys meeting regularly with key legislators to discuss next steps in building the momentum for the caucus.
Marlene resides with her husband of 38 years in Brentwood, TN and enjoys writing in her spare time. She is the author of one of Tennessee’s official state poems, and recently published her first poetry book, Nature Sings. She is the mother of two adult children, and grandmother of one grandchild.
